In electronic design, a netlist is a description of the connectivity of an electronic circuit. In its simplest form, a netlist consists of a list of the electronic componentsin a circuit and a list of the nodes they are connected to. A network (net) is a collection of two or more interconnected components. as a result of that, Netlist Generation has been served as the 2nd step for PCB Reverse Engineering.
After the PCB board image is processed ad recognized, the through holes and wiring information on the board can be obtained. But not all information can be obtained by image recognition, such as invisible lines especially when the object of reverse engineering is a multilayer pcb board. Since the components are not easily recognized.
Therefore, the component connection process also requires manual operation. In addition, when the through hole and the line image recognition result are deviated, manual correction is also required. These are the tasks to be done with components and wiring.
Component and wire processing is to prepare for the source data of the netlist table. Component processing includes analysis of the component library, completes the connection between component pins and solder joints, and records component information into the database.
